My
Reason
I want to prove Morgan Spurlocks theory wrong, that
we are fat but not as stupid as he made us out to be! So I will be crazier
than he for over 90 days and eat only McDonalds, at my own risk, my own
money, my own free will. Lawyers are making copies as I type, for sure.
And it's
really not so stupid. It's a perspective thing. Yes
I am one of those big fat guys he kept showing pictures of, I have high
cholesterol, moderate blood pressure, have had blood clots, bad valves
in the legs, have poor blood circulation, severe sleep apnea, headaches,
tension, stress, depression; manic and bi-polar, alchoholism, etc.
Mostly
I eat good meals, snack on healthy foods, but we do have a habit of eating
doughnuts at work twice a week, and we work on computers all day without
exercise. I ate at McDonalds 2 or 3 times a week. I never blamed them.
The same choices good, bad, indifferent can be found 100 yards away at
my local grocery store. Yes I have elected not to buy McDonalds on occasion
and went to the grocery store, just to find myself buying doughnuts and
bearclaws! What would have been better for me, the bagel, egg and cheese
with orange juice or 3 big fat doughnuts that made me crave more sugar
all day. Get real people. Take AIM, at ourselves. Stand up for yourself.
This was insulting to have a movie made that said fat people are so stupid
that it is a corporations fault we are fat, that we cannot even think
for ourselves. That we need lawyers to protect us from this menace. I
think it is the other way around.
Super Size me was the wrong message! It's you, not them, that is responsible.
Great idea Morgan, tell a fat guy it is not their fault. How about telling
them to get off their fat butts and do something before they hurt themselves.
You don't have to stop eating at McDonalds or anything else you like,
you just have to match it with the appropriate amount of exercise! Watch
me.
Pick
a Cause
Your
an American
Are
you a good American?
Attacking
McDonalds tears at my soul. McDonalds is part of our culture, or lives,
it just pains me so much to see an American Icon ripped on like that.
As far as I am concerned they could take down that Statue of Liberty and
give it back to the French and replace it with one of Ronald holding a
Super Sized Soft Drink saying "give me your hungry, your poor, your
masses waiting at the doors". The thought just makes me weep. His
golden jumpsuit glistening, bright red hair waving, fireworks going off
all around, all for future generations to remember who fed them in their
time of need. Someone check to see if Morgan was financed by Al-Qutofu
or Hamburglar Hussain. Go to the cure....
We
are smarter than we act
Just
because we choose to accept who we are, don't treat us like we need your
parenting. I don't need your advice I have a hundred other people handing
that out. There are many places for people to go to get support if and
when they choose to do so. Remember it is our choice. I really never needed
a caloric guide to tell me I was consuming to much, I knew that each time
I bought new pants. Don't let this movie attack us like that, do something
about it. Show Morgan and his lawyers they are wrong. We are smarter than
they think. Go to the cure...
Exercise
I
got lazy so McDonalds is at fault? Most likely the only thing those little
girls, that the movie was based on, had to do was walk in additon to their
meals or even play like normal kids in a McPlayland. Knock McPlayland
will you, did you ever watch those kids play, they burn more calories
than they can consume in that place in a moment. Why do you think moms
bring them there, it burns them out. Morgan choose to do nothing, just
to gain weight and create a smear campaign to stick it to McDonalds and
all Americans right to a Super Sized Meal. Why not make a movie about
reckless parents who feed their kids abundance of food and don't teach
them good exercising habits. Get out and walk. WALK WALK WALK WALK. Ride
a bike, run if that's your thing, it hurts my knees. There are plenty
of causes out there to walk for, too. I walk for breast cancer research.
