My son had to have dinner at a restaurant so I was tested. I normally cooked and now I don't. My wife works a full time job and more so they suffer for 90 days too. Notice all I have is a Diet Coke. McDonalds sells Diet Coke so I figure I am safely within the self appointed rules.

So glad they had that. If it were Pepsi I technically would be in violation and would have to pass but I lucked out. By the end of the meal they were groaning from being stuffed with pasta and I felt just fine and ready to go. Wasn't so bad after all.


Went over to Sportsman's Warehouse, 19205 N 27th Ave, right off of I-17 and Yorkshire. Went in to get a backpack of my own. I was using Zach's. They have a very large selection and anyone interested in doing this cancer walk should be prepared with lots of water and supplies. Todd assisted me and if you go there, ask for him. He was extremely patient and helpful. After trying different types from ones with bottles to fanny packs to Camelbacks packs, whatever they have a ton. I finally decided on one. Went to the checkout where I met Store Manager Sandy C., she gave me a bottle for my backpack, and told her I was pleased with the service and asked if I could mention them by name and store on the web site. She said YES! So my hats off to those who don't mind helping out, when you need supplies for hiking:

Right off of I-17 and Yorkshire (between Union Hills and Deer Valley)

After my family enjoyed their meal I stopped off at an undisclosed location and had a double cheeseburger without the top bun.

My son raised a very interesting point. While purchasing my $1.00 burger the total was $1.09 and he stated that tax was high here. He's pretty tight with his money. Good Boy. Anyway he said "why do they tax burgers anyway, it's food?" I told him that I think they see it more as fast food or a luxury item. Lets write the governor and find out. If they say that is so, then I would die. Am I not eating food. Or perhaps it would be over for me after 30 days. Well maybe we will see. And so I write. We wait for a reply.
