Ed does some Q-ing of his own!

Well as promised, Ed delivered, he made his version of the "Q".

He started with a filet of fish and a spicy chicken.

Built one from the two and discarded the remaining bun, saving him around 150 calories, and viola, Ed's McFishen! As you can tell from the picture above, he was enjoying his new McFishen, but I think I'll pass. We went earlier than usual because of my doctor appointment so there was no sun coming in the window, as of yet to sufficiently "Q" his sandwich. Perhaps next time Ed.

So I left work early today to see a doctor.

We discussed my lab results and the prognosis is that I will live.

What's that? Yes, my doctor said that he would go on record, understanding all that I am doing and what I stand for, and he will, as a doctor, go on record with the media and disclose my results if asked. A doctor will accept my results and stand up for me! So...

Lets go walking!

Here I am just minutes before being hit by a dust storm. I just made it about a mile and a half and thought I would just tough it out and keep walking. No problem, I thought. Until I was sand blasted and had palms from a palm tree flying at me. Even a realtor sign unhooked and flew into the street. I started to run home. Yes, I can run, if provoked. I made it home and had to wash out my eyes and a mouth full of sand. Ten minutes after returning home, the storm passed. AAAAHHHHH! I was in the worst of it. Go figure. I went back out and walked to McDonalds for a double cheeseburger and then went walking the rest of the way to finish my 12 miles for the day.

Had bacon and eggs in the morning, a chicken select meal with a shake for lunch and a double cheeseburger for dinner, with sand!

I would like to mention the passing of Julia Child.

She died Thursday Aug. 12, 2004, in Calif., two days before her 92nd birthday.

She was a cooking legend and excellent teacher. I know she would have been proud of me, I also love good food and she frequently spoke about eating a variety of food and exercise. She loved butter, McDonalds French Fries, and life. I recall that she was upset about McDonald's decision, (to fold under pressure, my opinion) some time back, to change the oil used to cook the french fries. They were so good. She will be missed.
