Well I just could not get over the Jazz Night at Lil Mama's. So I had to be creative and get myself some good soul food to get past my craving.

I went to McDonalds just before they switched over from breakfast to lunch and whipped up the closest thing to soul food that I could. A twist from the waffles and fried chicken, I created McSoul Food! Yeah that's right. Now isn't this living. I bought a Happy Meal with McGriddles and then waited until they switched over to get the 5 Piece Chicken Select Strips. Now that's got soul!

I arrived a few minutes early so I wandered over to a grocery store and looked at the books and magazines. I found Lance Armstrong's new book. I am not much into bike riding because of an awkward condition I have developed from the seat. I think it was my weight that caused it and not so much the seat but I go numb in areas I don't want to discuss. I would love to ride but it is too painful.

Lance Armstrong's new book is not about bike riding, it is about surviving cancer. He gives hope to many people who have to deal with cancer. He's a survivor! I hope to draw some inspiration from his book to keep walking. It is a reminder of why I walk. I could never compare my experiences with those who have to go through the treatments, and have no idea what that involves. I guess I am lucky for that, so far. So when I say I have problems walking I know it is nothing in comparison. I could never trivialize their pain.

The obstacles I encounter with my physical limitations are just a reminder of what the survivors deal with. I am driven to do this walk as they are to survive. I will do anything to finish that walk for them. As it is right now, my shin is slowing me down, but I want to keep walking, I just do not want to accept failure. I am losing time each day I do not walk. I think it's time for medical advice. I will call Monday and see the chiropractor first. Then I will see my doctor if I need to.

I was so upset about losing walking time that I walked to McDonalds for dinner. It did not help. I guess I have to accept this setback.

I had a double cheeseburger for lunch with fries and a really big Vanilla Shake. Oh that was good. Only problem is that I have to cut back on my intake now while I discontinue walking. like I have said before you need to consult a healthcare professional before starting any diet and exercise program. I should take my own advice. Remember I do not recommend doing this program. It is intended only to demonstrate that exercise can offset your intake of fast foods. Now we will see what happens when I slow down.

I let you know about Lance's book as I read it. Oh and try the McSoul food it was an awesome combination! I even have a Hot Wheels car for Ed.
